Mr. Canu's Class Created DNA Models

To develop a more comprehensive understanding of the complex molecules inside of our cells, freshman biology students were constructed their very own DNA models. Their models elegantly depict the complexity of the molecules that lay the foundation for how our cells can function properly. Students used a variety of materials to build their models; everything from gummy bears, styrofoam balls, popsicle sticks, and even Christmas lights! (…and a lot of hot glue of course!)

Thank you to Mr. Canu for finding a hands-on way for our students to display their knowledge!
